This is certainly a reflecting essay depending on a celebration which happened in a hospital setting. The purpose of this dissertation is to check out how people of the A comprehensive Team (MDT) worked together and communicate with each other to achieve the ideal patients outcome.
Reflection is definitely an everyday method and is extremely personal matter. Jasper (2003) suggests that reflection is one of the important ways in which we can learn from the experiences. Reflective practice can be explained as process of producing sense of events, conditions and actions that take place in the workplace (Oelofsen, 2012).
There are a different types of representation. One of them is usually Johns (1994) model of reflection, this model is dependent on five cue questions: information, reflection, influencing factors, alternative strategies and learning. That enable doctor to break down his/her knowledge. Gibbs (1988) is another common model of expression which involves six phases: description, emotions, evaluation, research, conclusion and action plan. The structure permits the reflection to be crafted in a crystal clear way.
According to the NMC (2008) code of specialist conduct, confidentiality should be preserve and all names will be anonymous.
Ii this essay I will use Gibbs (1988) version as a guideline for my reflection.
The first stage of Gibbs (1988) type of reflection requires a description of event. On the beginning of one of my shifts, my advisor informed me that I can participate in Multidisciplinary Staff meeting. A Multidisciplinary Staff meeting is known as a meeting of the group of professions from one or even more clinical procedures who jointly make decision regarding advised treatment of specific patients (NHS 2012).
